QUALIFICATIONS:
The College of Humanities and Sciences at Thomas Jefferson University seeks to hire a Visiting Assistant Professor of Psychology with counseling and/or clinical experience and scholarship as well as teaching experience in any of the following teaching areas: counseling psychology, personality theory, clinical psychology, abnormal psychology, and developmental psychology. The ideal candidate has a record of excellence in teaching at the university level. A record of strong scholarship in the candidate’s field(s) of expertise as well as demonstrated engagement in the pedagogy of active student learning is required. The candidate would be expected to serve as liaison with the master’s program in community and trauma counseling. The position begins August 15, 2026.
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Candidate must have a research doctorate (Psy.D. or Ph.D.) or a foreign equivalent to a U.S. doctoral degree in Psychology or related field. ABD candidates will be considered.
