Position Introduction:

We are seeking a one year full-time visiting faculty member in the field of Spanish Language and Latin American Literature and Culture to begin in August 2026.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will teach five courses at the undergraduate level across all levels of the curriculum, including language, culture, literature, and/or media. Applicants should have a PhD or anticipate PhD completion by May 2026 and have native or near-native fluency in Spanish.

Pay Transparency Disclosure:

The annual base starting salary range for this position is $89,000 to $93,000 (USD). When extending an offer of employment, Vassar College considers factors such as (but not limited to) the candidate's education/training, work experience, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations. This salary range represents the College's good faith and reasonable estimate at the time of posting.
