Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor- Chemistry

The Connecticut College Department of Chemistry invites applications for a one-year full-time Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor for the academic year 2026-2027. The successful candidate will teach lab sections for biochemistry and general chemistry. Some lab sections are taught in the evening. Other responsibilities include lab set-up and some shared responsibilities for purchasing and overseeing department chemicals and supplies. The teaching load for a visiting assistant teaching professor is 3/3, with no expectation of research.

The department offers ACS-certified majors in chemistry and biochemistry, as well as an interdisciplinary major in biochemistry, cellular and molecular biology. In teaching professors, the College seeks outstanding teachers who are committed to student learning and will effectively engage students in both group and one-on-one instruction. MS degree or higher in chemistry or biochemistry is required. Teaching experience is required.
