Department Information

Within this setting, the new faculty hire will play a vital role in teaching introductory-level mathematics in a department that offers core courses in mathematics, statistics, data science, and mathematics education.

Job Summary

Reporting to the department chair, the Visiting Instructor of Mathematics will teach 15 credit hours in each of the fall and spring semesters. This is an academic year appointment for the months of August 2026-May 2027*.* All visiting positions are non-tenure track appointments. The salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Required Qualifications

• Earned master's degree in mathematics, statistics, or a closely related field with at least 18 graduate semester hours in mathematics or statistics, by August 1, 2026.
• Willingness to engage with institutional student success initiatives.
• Commitment to engaging with best practice initiatives in instruction and pedagogy, mentoring, and curriculum design and development.
• Demonstrated commitment to teaching.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to teach face-to-face and online courses.
