VP Enterprise IS Strategic Planning, Performance and Digital Health
Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the Vice President, Information Services Strategic Planning, Performance, & Digital Health is a strategic partner to the CIO and Enterprise IS leadership team for departmental strategy aligned with the DFCI Strategic Plan and Operating goals, performance metrics, and portfolio management to ensure enterprise organizational value. The role will champion Project Management and Education standards within department and across the enterprise. A focus will be on Digital Health innovation to transform ideas into modern solutions and deliver impact with collaboration and low-code productivity tools.
With a current operating budget of $4M and 27 FTEs, the VP will create impact across the enterprise with educational programs including the Project Management symposium, the IS Newsletter, DFCI Online intranet content, and Digital Competency. The VP leads the Project University program with two dozen instructors and 40 courses, benefiting the entire institute and the recent expansion to support global oncology programs.
The VP will collaborate with leaders across the institute to address the needs of various departments finding technology solutions to meet organizational needs, achieve institute goals, and deliver measurable value. This role demands a deep understanding of program and change management, low-code/no-code solutions, and digital innovations to guide the organization toward effective, cost-effective solutions. The Vice President will champion a culture of innovation, collaboration, and strategic agility, ensuring all areas of Dana-Farber have solutions to meet their needs.

- Develop and execute a comprehensive vision and strategy for enterprise low-code solutions, project management methodology, and digital health solutions to directly influence the success of work efforts across the enterprise.

Technology - Innovation - Implementation
- Implement innovative technologies to create efficiencies with enterprise processes, solve for unique departmental workflows, and optimize the usage of standard tools.
- Deliver impact with training team designing curriculum, delivering project training, administering Epic and other applications? training, and educating all staff on various topics.
- Advocate for collaboration & productivity low-code and no-code tools to create improved, data and process flows, and build solutions at a significant discount.
- Promote engagement of Change Management methodology across the enterprise using education, tools and project standards; and collaborate with cross-functional change teams.
Operational Leadership - Performance Management
- Manage a $4M operating budget and lead a team of 27 FTEs, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to meet organizational priorities.
- Ensure all technology initiatives are scalable, secure, and compliant with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
- Work with solution vendors, Contract Management, and Office of General Counsel to negotiate new agreements and renewals that satisfy the institute?s needs.
Collaboration - Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with business leaders across departments to understand their needs and deliver technology solutions that achieve institute goals.
- Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment and collaboration across teams.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations on technology strategies and innovations.
Team Leadership - Development
- Lead and motivate the department with a culture of accountability to achieve results.
- Mentor and develop a high-performing team of technology professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement strategies to support team success.
- Promote professional growth and development opportunities for team members, ensuring they are equipped to meet the organization?s evolving needs.
Qualifications
- BA or BS required;
- MS in Information Technology, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in technology strategy, digital transformation, and enterprise IT management.
- Experience in project management, change management, developing educational programs, and digital health is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of supervisory/management experience, with a proven track record of leading diverse teams.
Pay Transparency Statement
The hiring range is based on market pay structures, with individual salaries determined by factors such as business needs, market conditions, internal equity, and based on the candidate?s relevant experience, skills and qualifications.
For union positions, the pay range is determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)
$275,400- $294,600
