The Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF is seeking applications for a grade W 2 artistic professorship in the field of "AI in Cinematic Image Design / VFX", starting as soon as possible. The position is initially limited to five years, with the possibility of conversion to a tenured W2 professorship following a positive evaluation.

Responsibilities include teaching the artistic use of AI-supported tools and processes in VFX, such as compositing, look development, concept art, and scenic design. The role involves supervising student projects, advancing the university's AI strategy, and collaborating on research and third-party funding. Teaching duties comprise 12 LVS per semester, with three-quarters focused on artistic VFX and one-quarter on transdisciplinary teaching.
