The Retention Specialist is the provider of resources to help ensure the ability of students to succeed in the nursing program and obtain respective licensure. Concurrently, this position is a vital liaison between faculty, administration, and the students. This position is for 1 year and is subject to continued federal funding. Primary duties include but are not limited to: Assist and collaborate in the development, implementation and management of policies and programs to increase student retention and NCLEX success in the nursing programs Utilize nursing program data to guide nursing program remediation efforts in collaboration with nursing faculty Administer the attrition risk survey and analyze results to identify at risk students in coordination with faculty Incorporate current nursing program retention initiatives into SVCC nursing programs.
