Job Summary
Performs or oversees complex scientific procedures in a clinical or research setting.
Job Duties
- 70% - Deploy, service, and maintain water level sensors at field locations. Assemble and build water level sensor enclosures and associated hardware. Organize, coordinate, and assist in managing student deployment and field support teams, as applicable.
- 10% - Use RTK GPS or high-accuracy GNSS equipment to precisely locate, document, and verify installed water level sensors. Assist with deployment planning, including site reconnaissance, coordination with partners, and scheduling.
- 20% - Obtain required permissions and prepare, submit, and file encroachment permits and related documentation as necessary. Maintain accurate records of deployments, maintenance activities, GPS locations, and equipment inventory.

Minimum Requirements
A bachelor's degree in a related field and work experience directly related to the assigned research area; or a high school diploma and advanced journey-level work experience in a clinical or research setting.
Responsibilities
Job Knowledge: Fundamental working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to apply in varied situations.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Acts as a Lead by guiding the work of others who perform essentially the same work.
Budgetary Responsibilities: No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.

Compensation Information
Expected Salary Range
$45,300 - $65,000
Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
Essential Personnel Level
Normal Operations - Required to follow emergency facility closure and modified operations directives, and not normally expected to work on-site during emergency situations.
