Campus Technology and Facilities Support Technician

systems, audio-visual equipment, and classroom technologies to support the instructional and administrative mission of the College, while also providing scheduled and as-needed support for other WSCC facilities. The Campus Technology and Facilities Support Technician also assists with event setup and basic facility support, as needed, and may require occasional weekend work to support events or operational needs. The Campus Technology and Facilities Support Technician reports to the Media Services and Learning Technical Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities include:  

• Provide support for computers, user accounts, login issues, profiles and multi-factor authentication 
• Manage audio-visual equipment by assisting with setup, operation and troubleshooting classrooms, meetings and events 
• Conduct routine building checks to monitor and report issues with HVAC performance, light, doors and general safety concerns 
• Assist with the configuration, maintenance, replacement and tracking of computer workstations.  

Required Education/Experience 

• Associate’s degree in computer science, computer networking or related field OR equivalent combination of experience and education/training.  
• Prior experience in technology support, facilities support, campus operations, or a related field.  

To be a best fit for this position, you will: 

• Have experience troubleshooting computers, handling login issues and familiarity with classroom setups. 
• Be comfortable doing light physical work, such as moving furniture for events, changing lightbulbs and checking building lights and doors. 
• Hold strong customer service skills to help students and staff. 
• Possess a strong understanding of collaboration and be able to move easily between the IT and Facilities departments.  

Compensation 

Starting salary range: $44,407.77 - $53,336.32, depending on education and experience.  Full benefit package including health/dental/vision insurance, generous retirement, onsite wellness center, educational assistance, WSCC tuition waiver for employees/dependents, generous paid time off, and vast opportunity for educational advancement and personal development.
