About the opportunity:
Join the vibrant Work Integrated Learning (WIL) team at the University of Canberra, where your skills will directly shape meaningful placement experiences for students across diverse academic disciplines.
As a WIL Placement Advisor, reporting to the Senior WIL Coordinator (Placements), you’ll be a key player in coordinating and supporting placement activities. This role demands someone who can navigate tight deadlines, shifting priorities, and occasionally incomplete information—all while maintaining composure, professionalism, and clear communication. You’ll work closely with faculty, students, and industry partners- to ensure placements run smoothly and expectations are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate effectively with the Placement team and academic areas to support student placements.
- Provide administrative guidance to faculty staff, industry partners, and students regarding placement requirements, expectations, and scheduling.
- Maintain accurate records of placement activities on InPlace and other systems, including compliance status, placement site information and participation.
- Liaise diplomatically with diverse stakeholders to ensure consistent and current communication of WIL policies and procedures.
- Support continuous improvement of WIL processes through active participation in planning and review cycles.
- Navigate challenges with diverse stakeholders and resolve misunderstandings with empathy and professionalism.
