Basic Function

Kern Community College District accepts applications for part-time, hourly faculty pools on a continuous basis. The starting salary range is $67.00/hour.

Representative Duties

This is an adjunct pool for a part-time assistant coach in the Division of Physical Education and Athletics. Assistant Coach for Women's Soccer includes coaching a diverse student population and coaching at games/tournaments in the evening and/or Saturdays.

Desirable Qualifications

Ability to plan and direct recruitment, conditioning, training, practice, eligibility and behavioral conduct of athletes.
Provide coaching, instructional, and/or non-instructional services in a diverse campus and community environment.
Demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and promote an intercollegiate sports program.
Evidence of continual professional involvement.
Sensitivity to and understanding of diverse backgrounds of community college students.
Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with others in a team environment.
Be familiar with and observe appropriate college and Board policies, and current guidelines governing college sports (COA/CCCAA, CVC, NCAA).

REQUIRED LICENSES: Possession of, or the ability to obtain, a valid California Driver's License.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and two years of professional experience OR any associate degree and six years of professional experience OR the equivalent. A demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
