Basic Function
Kern Community College District accepts applications for part-time, hourly faculty pools on a continuous basis. The starting salary range is $67.00/hour.
Representative Duties
This is an adjunct pool for a part-time assistant coach in the Division of Physical Education and Athletics. Assistant Coach for Women's Soccer includes coaching a diverse student population and coaching at games/tournaments in the evening and/or Saturdays.
Desirable Qualifications
- Ability to plan and direct recruitment, conditioning, training, practice, eligibility and behavioral conduct of athletes.
- Provide coaching, instructional, and/or non-instructional services in a diverse campus and community environment.
- Demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and promote an intercollegiate sports program.
- Evidence of continual professional involvement.
- Sensitivity to and understanding of diverse backgrounds of community college students.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with others in a team environment.
- Be familiar with and observe appropriate college and Board policies, and current guidelines governing college sports (COA/CCCAA, CVC, NCAA).
REQUIRED LICENSES: Possession of, or the ability to obtain, a valid California Driver's License.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and two years of professional experience OR any associate degree and six years of professional experience OR the equivalent. A demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
