Part-time Faculty, Sociology
Teaches a range of sociology courses, (e.g., Introduction to Sociology and foundational courses) but a preference for expertise in Social Movements, Social Stratification/Inequality, Applied Sociology, Sociological Theory, and Criminology or Deviance.
Work Schedule: Typically, Monday through Friday. Teaching assignments may be made at YSU's main location in Youngstown, Ohio, the Steubenville, Ohio location, or for remote courses.
Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university provided tools and resources.
Required Certifications, Training, and/or Licensures: Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Minimum Qualifications: An earned master's degree in sociology; able to teach standard general education courses (Examples but not limited to: Introduction to Sociology, Social Problems); Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Preferred Qualifications: Teaching experience, especially online and accelerated. Residency in Ohio, PA, and West Virginia for face-to-face instruction in Steubenville.
