Carleton PhD Program

PhD Opportunities at Carleton

Carleton College does not offer PhD programs directly. However, students can engage in research and prepare for PhD studies at other institutions.

• Research Opportunities: Students at Carleton can participate in undergraduate research, which is excellent preparation for PhD programs.
• Admission Process: For PhD studies elsewhere, students typically need to apply directly to the graduate programs of their choice, often requiring letters of recommendation from Carleton faculty.
• Funding and Scholarships: While Carleton does not offer PhD funding, it provides resources and guidance for students seeking external scholarships and fellowships.
