SWAU SAT Scores

SAT Score Ranges for Admitted Students:

• Score Range: 900–1100 (combined Evidence-Based Reading and Writing, and Math)
• Average Score: Approximately 1000
• Percentile: Typically around the 50th percentile for admitted students

Key Points:

• SAT or ACT scores are required for most freshman applicants to Southwestern Adventist University (SWAU), though exceptions may apply for certain programs or circumstances.
• Scores are evaluated as part of a holistic review process, alongside high school GPA, extracurricular activities, and personal statements.
• SWAU does not officially superscore SAT results, so applicants should submit their highest single-sitting score.
• Alternatives such as AP or IB test scores may be considered for placement or credit but do not replace SAT/ACT requirements for admission.
• Prospective students are encouraged to aim for an SAT score of at least 1000 or higher to be competitive for admission to Southwestern Adventist University.
