Through all recruitment channels, an Admissions Advisor
aims to deliver efficient, student-centered outreach efforts to a diverse pool of prospective students and their families. Under the supervision of the Director of Admissions- On Ground, Admission Advisors support students to help them navigate the admission process and achieve their personal and professional goals. They provide detailed information about various aspects of the admissions process and the institution, including but not limited to program offerings, academic requirements, financial aid, and institutional policies. An Admission Advisor supports admission events, including college fairs, session nights, visits, and open houses. Additionally, the Admission Advisor will execute a communication strategy to provide guidance and timely follow-up with future students and their support networks until they complete the admission and onboarding process. An Admission Advisor is expected to carry out these responsibilities ethically, consistent with the College's mission, vision, and values, including diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice. Role and Responsibilities/ Essential Job Functions: • Counsel and advise learners and families about educational opportunities, admission, transfer credit, financial aid, and institutional policies and requirements. • Maintain communication via multiple modalities with prospective learners through all stages of the admission process. • Utilize institutional technology to communicate and engage with students, process admission records, track and analyze data and prepare reports. • Assist with formulating, developing, and implementing admissions-related policies and procedures. • Maintain proficiency with admission processes and requirements, programs, majors, and courses. • Stay up-to-date and current on developments in higher education as it relates to admission and financial aid. • Participate in recruiting events and represent the institution via college fairs, high schools, and other promotional opportunities. • Deliver outstanding customer service to support recruiting new learners to the college. ● Understand and strive to meet and exceed departmental and individual goals and key performance indicators (KPIs). • Participate in training and professional development as directed. • Participate in virtual college events such as information sessions, open houses, and orientations. • Implement recruitment and communication strategies designed to meet KPIs. • Support and assist in the deployment of strategies to better support students. • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Education Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required; Master’s degree preferred. • 1-3 years of higher education admissions experience preferred 2 Required Skills: • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and a demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service. • Possess a team-orientated and problem-solver approach to work flexibly and positively. • Knowledgeable and proficient in computer skills, which allows for the use of computer-related technology. • Proficient in Microsoft Office and G-Suite programs. • Ability to effectively present information to internal and external stakeholders. • Possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate complex information to diverse audiences, both verbally and in writing. • Proficient in using technology tools and software applications, including Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and virtual communication platforms. • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain a high level of professionalism under pressure. • Commitment to upholding ethical standards and maintaining confidentiality in handling sensitive student information. • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. • Possess strong presentation skills and the ability to engage well with a group.
