The Advanced Materials Research Group (AMRG) conducts research on the processing and characterization of materials to develop their structures and functional properties.

- Additive manufacturing of antibacterial nanocomposites using functional TiO2 nanotubes demonstrating highly catalytic behavior without any UV excitation

AMRG aims to lead interdisciplinary research at the intersection of materials science and advanced manufacturing. In this context, a postdoctoral fellowship under the supervision of AMRG Coordinator Prof. Dr. B. Onur Kucukyildirim is being sought in the following areas:
- Scaling up lab-scale nanocomposite biomaterials for industrial and healthcare applications
- Advancing TRL 5 prototypes in environmental remediation (e.g., dark-environment catalytic membranes).

Requirements
- Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or related fields
- Strong academic background on nanomaterial synthesis, modification, and their characterization methods
- Hands-on experience in the applications of nanomaterials in traditional and advanced manufacturing methods
- Enthusiasm about multidisciplinary research and eager to collaborate across theoretical and experimental domains
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.
- Experience in scientific publishing and/or international collaboration is considered an asset.

- Someone who excels in a multidisciplinary setting and relishes working at the crossroads of basic science and applied research.

Eligibility criteria:
- The postdoctoral fellows must hold a doctoral degree (no longer than 8 years prior to the call deadline).
- Periods of inactivity in research (e.g., unemployment, periods of employment outside research, parental or sick leave) do not count towards the time of research experience.
- The postdoctoral fellow may be of any nationality. No age restrictions apply.
- The postdoctoral fellow cannot have resided or carried out his/her main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Turkey for more than 12 months in the three years prior to the call.
