Dr. Alexandria Proff is Adjunct Associate Professor of Education in the School of Arts & Sciences at the American University of Ras Al Khaimah. She serves in the Department of Humanities & Social Sciences and holds the title of Associate Professor of Educational Leadership. Her research focuses on topics including educational leadership, parent-school communication, teacher retention, student participation, women in leadership, and writing support in higher education.
Dr. Proff has authored or co-authored peer-reviewed publications such as “Lessons learned for leaders: implications for parent-school communication in post-pandemic learning environments” (2025), “Women who lead: societal influences of attitudes toward women and women leadership” (2025), “Becoming women: period. Perceptions of barriers and facilitators to menstrual hygiene management programs for Pakistani girls” (2023), and “Rethinking writing support: Student satisfaction and writing development in a hybrid model in UAE higher education” (2026). She is recognized as a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA).
