Professor Andrew Morris serves as Head of Pharmacy and Professor of Pharmacy Education within Swansea University Medical School, leading the pharmacy team in developing the UK’s newest MPharm programme. His research interests focus on drug delivery and tissue engineering, pharmacy and medical education, and health data science. He maintains a strong interest in the internationalisation of higher education and leads internationalisation for the Medical School. Previously, he was Dean of the Faculty of Science at the University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus (2016-2018), where he contributed to establishing the first GPhC-accredited MPharm degree delivered in part outside the UK. He also served as Head of School and Professor (2016-2018), Associate Professor (2010-2016), and Assistant Professor (2009-2010) there. Prior to academia, he practised as a community pharmacist locum in South Wales and West Midlands (2005-2008) and as Community Pharmacy and Prescribing Advisor for NHS Wales (1999-2006). He is a registered pharmacist with the GPhC, a founding member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. He completed his PhD at Cardiff University (1999-2003).
At Swansea University since 2018, Andrew Morris is a member of the University Senate (2019-present).
