Celeste Jones, PsyD, ABPP, served as associate professor of clinical psychology at George Fox University’s Graduate School of Clinical Psychology in Newberg, Oregon. She earned her PsyD and MA in clinical psychology from George Fox University and her BA in psychology from Oregon State University. Board-certified in Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABCCAP), she is a licensed psychologist in Oregon. Throughout her career at George Fox University, Jones progressed from assistant professor to associate professor, holding pivotal leadership positions including Program Director for the PsyD program, Director of Clinical Training, and Director of Equity and Inclusion. She played a central role in clinical psychology education, chairing and serving on doctoral committees for numerous PsyD dissertations archived in George Fox University’s Digital Commons. Notable examples include "Personality and Flourishing in Seminarians: A Single Case Study Design" by K.M. Peterson (2022), "The Relationship Between Connectedness to Nature and Wellbeing: A Meta-Analysis" by N. Wu (2022), "Resiliency, Adversity, and Autonomy Experiences of Sex Workers" by K.R. Jones’s research and publications reflect her expertise in child and adolescent psychology. She is corresponding author on "The Relationship between Connectedness to Nature and Wellbeing: A Meta-Analysis" (2022) and authored "Five Factor Model: Insights into a College Population." Additionally, she contributed "Lessons From the Field: Autism and COVID-19 Mental Health" to Psychology Today (2021), informed by her specialization in children with autism spectrum disorder and their families. Her academic interests encompass adversity and resilience in children and families, diversity populations, personality models, and nature-based interventions. Jones also served on the Oregon Board of Psychology as chair (2023), vice-chair, and board member (term 2021-2024), contributing to regulatory standards and professional oversight in the field.
