Dr. Christian Brenes serves as Clinical Professor and Founding Director of Digital Dentistry at the Workman School of Dental Medicine at High Point University. In this role, he is responsible for implementing digital dentistry across the clinical network, establishing the Digital Dental Laboratory, and directing the postgraduate Digital Dentistry Fellowship Program. A prosthodontist with expertise in dental implants, esthetic dentistry, and digital dental technology, Dr. Brenes earned his DDS and Master of Science in Prosthodontics. Previously, he was the director of the first Digital Dentistry master's program at another institution and served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Oral Rehabilitation at Augusta University Dental College of Georgia, where his research focused on human-computer interaction, CAD/CAM systems, and prosthodontics.
Dr. Brenes has contributed to the field through numerous publications, including 'Evaluation of Prosthetic Outcomes and Patient Satisfaction With 3D-Printed Implant-Supported Fixed Prosthesis' (2023), 'In Vitro Analysis of Bonding and Wear Properties of 3D Printed Denture Tooth Materials' (2024), 'Marginal Fit Evaluation of CAD/CAM All Ceramic Crowns Obtained by Two Digital Workflows: An In-Vitro Study Using Micro-CT Technology' (2019), 'Digital Face-Bow Transfer Technique Using the Dentofacial Analyzer for Dental Esthetics and 2-D, 3-D Smile Design: A Clinical Report' (2018), and 'A Multidisciplinary Approach to the Management of a Maxillary Midline Diastema: A Clinical Report' (2017). His work emphasizes advancing digital workflows to enhance treatment efficiency, predictability, and affordability in clinical practice. Dr. Brenes is committed to educating future generations of dentists through state-of-the-art facilities and interdisciplinary collaboration at High Point University.
