Christian Ross is a Lecturer in Software Development and Design at the College of Engineering and Information Technology, Adelaide University. He plays a key role in undergraduate education by teaching foundational computer science courses that develop essential programming and problem-solving skills for students pursuing degrees in computer science, information technology, and related fields.
Christian Ross instructs Problem Solving and Programming (COMP-1002), a course focused on core programming techniques and translating problem statements into code solutions using introductory programming concepts. His classes include tutorials and practical sessions held at the Mawson Lakes Campus in Building D and Building F, as well as at the Adelaide City Campus East in Ingkarni Wardli. He also teaches Object-Oriented Programming (COMP-1005), building on imperative programming to teach object-oriented concepts through comprehensive projects. Additionally, in Problem Solving and Programming Foundations (COMP-5002), he equips students with skills to design algorithms and implement them in high-level languages, critical for success in information technology programs. These courses support Bachelor of Computer Science, Bachelor of Computer Science (Honours), Bachelor of Engineering (Honours), and Bachelor of Teaching (Secondary) (Honours) programs.
