Dr Martijn van der Kamp is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Leadership and Executive Education at Monash Business School, Faculty of Business and Economics, Monash University. He serves as Program Director for the online Master of Enterprise, teaches Leadership for Sustainable Development in the MBA program, heads the MBA integrated team program, and engages in executive education. His career history encompasses research positions at the UNSW Business School and Melbourne Business School, a visiting scholarship at Harvard Business School, and a role as strategic sourcing and partnership consultant at Kirkman Company. He has worked internationally with business, government, education, and research teams to design and implement teamwork and partnership strategies. Additionally, Dr van der Kamp holds the position of Team Science Fellow at the Australia-Indonesia Centre. His academic background includes a BA from the Rotterdam School of Management, an MBA from Erasmus University Rotterdam, and a PhD from the University of Melbourne.
Dr van der Kamp's research specializations centre on strategy, organisational design, and organisational behaviour, with a focus on teamwork in strategic alliances. He examines how diversity and team composition affect team effectiveness and outcomes, particularly in networks of teams across organisations. His research crosses levels of analysis and uses methods such as field studies, cases, and experiments.
