Dr. Menglong Huo, professionally known as Frank Huo, serves as a Senior Lecturer in the School of Management, College of Business and Law at Adelaide University. He earned his MCom (Hons) and PhD in Management from the University of Auckland. Previously a senior lecturer in Human Resource Management at the University of South Australia Business School and a member of the Centre for Workplace Excellence (CWeX), Huo's research centers on employee wellbeing, job design, workforce performance, high-involvement work processes, job demands-resources theory, and the human consequences of lean production. His scholarship appears in prominent journals including Human Resource Management, Human Resource Management Journal, and International Journal of Human Resource Management.
Huo has authored numerous impactful publications, such as 'Thriving in future work: knowledge management and innovation perspectives' (Jiang et al., 2025, Knowledge Management Research and Practice), 'Work autonomy and exit-voice choice: the role of skill utilization, learning from colleagues and future time orientation' (Huo, 2025, Personnel Review), 'Work-life conflict and job performance: the mediating role of employee wellbeing and the moderating role of trait extraversion' (Huo & Jiang, 2023, Personality and Individual Differences), 'Work-role overload, work-life conflict, and perceived career plateau: the moderating role of emotional stability' (Huo & Jiang, 2023, Human Resource Management), 'Lean production, work intensification and employee wellbeing: can line-manager support make a difference?' He teaches courses including BUSS 3110 HR Analytics, BUSS 5397 Research for Business Decision Making, and BUSS 5450 People Analytics, and is eligible to co-supervise Masters and PhD students, currently co-supervising a doctorate on organisational antecedents of corporate volunteering.
