Rate My Professor Ilhan Ozturk

Professor Ilhan Ozturk serves as Professor and Dean of the College of Business Administration at the University of Sharjah. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Cukurova University in Turkey awarded in 2009, an M.S. in Economics from Eastern Mediterranean University in North Cyprus awarded in 1997, and a B.A. in Business Administration from the same institution awarded in 1995. His academic career includes prior appointments as Professor at Nisantasi University and a progression of roles at Cag University in Turkey from Lecturer in 2000 to Professor in 2017, along with administrative positions such as Director of the Higher Vocational School from 2016 to 2022.

Professor Ozturk's research focuses on energy economics, environmental economics, and international economics. He has authored or co-authored over 300 papers in international peer-reviewed journals and maintains a high citation count exceeding 65,000 on Google Scholar. He has received numerous honors including recognition in the Stanford University Top 2% Global Scientists List for multiple years, Highly Cited Researcher status from Web of Science, repeated rewards for international publications from TUBITAK and Cag University, and top rankings in Turkey and globally according to IDEAS/RePEc criteria. In addition to his editorial roles as Editor of the International Journal of Energy Economics and Policy and the International Journal of Economics and Financial Issues, he has served on editorial boards of various international journals and participated as an invited speaker at conferences.
