Over the last 10 years, she has worked extensively with children, young people, and adults in non-for-profit and private sectors, as well as child protection and university systems. Her clinical practice focuses on providing assessment and evidence-based treatment to children and young people who have experienced trauma from abuse, including those brought into the child protection system and survivors of childhood sexual abuse. Jacqueline has managed clinical teams and services dedicated to responding to trauma from abuse and has provided supervision to students and provisional psychologists.
Since May 2022, Jacqueline has contributed to the development and delivery of workforce development training at the Australian Centre for Child Protection, including the Professional Certificate in Childhood Trauma. Her current research through the Australian Centre for Child Protection centers on experiences of disclosures of child sexual abuse and understanding and responding to Harmful Sexual Behaviour. She is involved in the project titled 'National Centre for Action on Child Protection - Understanding the experiences of child sexual abuse disclosure in Australia in the wake of the Royal Commission,' which investigates disclosure trajectories for victims and survivors over and under 30 years old between 2013 and 2022 to identify barriers, facilitators, and the Royal Commission's role, funded competitively from November 2023 to November 2025. Additionally, she serves as a member of the Australian Centre for Child Protection Advisory Board, elected as the inaugural staff representative for 2023-2024.
