Jeremy Fox is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at Montclair State University, where he has served on the faculty since 2013. He holds the position of Director of Clinical Training and Director of the PhD Program in Clinical Psychology. A licensed clinical psychologist, Fox received his PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University at Albany, State University of New York in 2010, after completing a predoctoral residency at the University of Washington School of Medicine/Seattle Children's Hospital. He earned his BA in Psychology from Johns Hopkins University. Prior to his current role, Fox completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at the NYU Child Study Center from 2010 to 2012 and served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Maine from 2012 to 2013. He teaches courses in child psychology, clinical assessment, ethics, and evidence-based therapy.
Fox directs the Research for Effective Child Anxiety Prevention (RECAP) lab, which investigates the developmental psychopathology of anxiety and depression in children and adolescents. His research specializations encompass temperament and emotion regulation, parenting influences, screening and early intervention for childhood anxiety, and school-based mental health services along with dissemination strategies to effectively deliver interventions in school settings and sustain them over time.
