Helps students develop critical skills.
Jill Smith has a longstanding association with Utah Valley University, spanning several decades. She served as Director of Prospective Student Services, where she contributed significantly to student recruitment, high school relations, and orientation efforts. Earlier roles included Assistant Director of the Call Center and involvement in enrollment marketing. Her dedication to the institution is evidenced by her frequent mentions in UVU fact books from 1988 through 2017, often in sections recognizing distinguished service, awards, and honorees.
In 2005, at the commencement exercises of Utah Valley State College (predecessor to UVU), Jill Smith was awarded an honorary doctorate in humane letters by the board of trustees, alongside other notable figures. She was nominated for the Award of Excellence in 2006. Currently, Jill Smith is listed as a Community Advocate on UVU's National Presidential Advisory Board, assembled by former President Matthew Sederburg to include respected community leaders supporting the university's mission.
