Joanne White is a Lecturer in the School of Education, College of Education, Behavioural and Social Sciences at Adelaide University. She is responsible for teaching a range of courses essential to teacher training programs. Her current and recent teaching includes EDUC 1077 Theories of Learning (2024, 2025), EDUC 1112 English Curriculum: Language (2024, 2025), EDUC 1113 Introduction to Curriculum, Pedagogy and Assessment (2024, 2025), EDUC 2058 English Curriculum: Reading (2024, 2025), EDUC 3062 English Curriculum: Text Production (2024, 2025), and EDUC 5297 English Education Early Literacy (2024). She also serves as course coordinator for Learning About Language.
Joanne White has published research on educational practices. Her key publication is 'Teacher's perceptions of pedagogical practices in innovative learning spaces' (Pedagogy, Culture and Society, 32(3), 675-697, 2024), co-authored with J. Colton, L. O'Keeffe, G. Barry, and B. White. Previously associated with Education Futures at the University of South Australia before the formation of Adelaide University, her work addresses teachers' experiences in modern learning environments.
