Kate Lamb serves as a Lecturer in the School of Allied Health and Human Performance within the College of Health at Adelaide University. She delivers specialized postgraduate courses in medical sonography, including Vascular Sonography (RADI-5005), Advanced Vascular Sonography (HLTH-5901), Cardiovascular Sonography Portfolio (RADI-5011), Cardiovascular Anatomy and Embryology (RADI-5026), and Clinical Sonography Portfolio (RADI-5019). These courses provide students with advanced knowledge and practical skills for autonomous practice in vascular and cardiovascular sonography. Kate shares her time between academic teaching and clinical sonography roles, maintaining sharp clinical skills to inform and enhance her educational contributions. Kate Lamb holds the position of Chairperson of the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR) Board, elected effective January 1, 2023. In this capacity, she oversees accreditation processes for sonography programs and contributes to professional standards in Australia, including developments like the Sonography Clinical Supervision Framework. Her research centers on sonographer professional development, work-integrated learning, and wellbeing.
