Kenji Klein, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Management in the College of Business at California State University, Long Beach, contributing to the Business & Economics faculty. He earned his B.A. from Pomona College, M.B.A. from the University of California, Irvine, and Ph.D. in Management from the University of California, Irvine, with dissertation research focused on the impact of environmental change and disruption on entrepreneurs in emerging industries. His academic career includes prior service as an Assistant Professor of Business Administration at Saint Mary's College of California. At CSULB, he teaches business strategy, organization theory, management and operations, international management, and entrepreneurship, and serves as an advisor for the Entrepreneurship minor and affiliated faculty with the Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
Professor Klein's research interests encompass strategic focus and growth in entrepreneurial firms, entrepreneurship, innovation, and organizational theory. His publications appear in leading journals, including Academy of Management Annals, Management Decision, Journal of Macromarketing, and Journal of Leadership & Organizational Studies.
