Kiriaki Stewart serves as a Lecturer in Nursing within the School of Nursing and Midwifery in the College of Health at Adelaide University. She is currently enrolled as a Higher Degree by Research (HDR) student, with her research centered in the aged care field. Stewart plays a significant role in nursing education, coordinating and teaching several key undergraduate courses in the Bachelor of Nursing program. These include Becoming a Nursing Professional (NURS 1000), Foundations of Nursing Practice (NURS 1072) in both 2024 and 2025, Health of Infants, Children and Adolescents (NURS 2022) in 2024 and 2025, Experiential Learning Activity: Preparation for Clinical Practice Practicum 1 (NURS 1061) in 2024, Transition to Professional Practice (NURS 3056) in 2024, and Clinical Project (NURS 6800).
Her scholarly contributions include leading authorship on the publication 'Secrets and their consequences in healthcare: a scoping review of worker experiences,' published in the Journal of Advanced Nursing in 2025 (DOI: 10.1111/jan.16922), co-authored with D. Evans, Q. Xu, and N. Procter. This work examines the experiences of healthcare workers regarding secrets disclosed by consumers and their implications for practice. Additionally, she contributed to 'Sleep of Nurses: A Comprehensive Scoping Review,' published in the Journal of Advanced Nursing in 2024 (volume 81, issue 5, pages 2333-2344; DOI: 10.1111/jan.16603), as part of a team led by L. Matricciani. Stewart has presented her research at the National Nursing Forum 2024.
