Professor Kylie Readman is the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President (Academic) at the University of Technology Sydney, a role she has held since November 2022. In this position, she provides whole-of-institution leadership across digital transformation, curriculum, learning and teaching, academic quality and standards, student success, and support for academic staff to deliver excellent learning experiences aligned with UTS strategic priorities and regulatory obligations. She is an experienced senior executive with a strong track record of driving large-scale transformation in higher education, recognised for creating institutional conditions that enable academic excellence through contemporary learning environments, robust digital platforms, and practical support for staff. Professor Readman brings a particular focus to student success, equity, and belonging.
Prior to joining UTS, Professor Readman served as Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education and Equity) at Murdoch University, where she led portfolios including learning and teaching innovation, student experience, equity and diversity, and wellbeing, while supporting institutional approaches to Indigenous education and inclusive practice. She previously held leadership roles at Queensland University of Technology and the University of the Sunshine Coast, overseeing major initiatives in curriculum redesign, multi-campus and digitally enabled learning, staff capability development, and the creation of contemporary teaching and learning spaces. She holds a PhD in Higher Education from the University of the Sunshine Coast, a Master of Education in Leadership and Management and a Bachelor of Education (Honours) from Queensland University of Technology. Professor Readman is a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
