Lisa Walker served as Military Science Faculty at the University of North Georgia from August 2023 to May 2025. She taught in the National Service Leadership Track program, preparing ROTC cadets for leadership success beyond military commissioning. Additionally, as Associate Director of Employer Engagement in Career Services, she collaborated with businesses and government agencies to create internship and job opportunities for UNG students and alumni. Walker organized and promoted career fairs, expos, and events across UNG campuses, including government career expos and all-majors fairs, providing students with networking and learning experiences. Her efforts supported student career development and employer recruitment at the university.
Walker was recognized among faculty and staff award recipients at the University of North Georgia in 2024, alongside colleagues such as Simon Cordery and Wesley Moore. She also received the Presidential Merit Award of Excellence from UNG in August 2024 for demonstrating commitment to high ethical standards.
