Lynda Quigley is a dedicated educator and occupational therapist currently serving as a Lecturer in the Curtin School of Allied Health, Faculty of Health Sciences at Curtin University in Perth, Australia. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy at Curtin University in 2012, managing a full-time study load while raising two teenage daughters. Her academic and professional focus centers on occupational therapy, where she contributes to educating future allied health professionals through courses such as OCCT1001: Introduction to Occupational Therapy.
Quigley's career commenced at the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Western Australia in the Neurodegenerative Conditions Coordinated Care Program (NCCCP), supporting clients with progressive conditions including Motor Neurone Disease. She handled complex interventions like prescribing adaptive equipment for rapidly changing functional abilities, addressing psychosocial needs, and providing end-stage care in collaboration with families. She then joined the Independent Living Centre (ILC, now Indigo), advancing from complex support coordination to Allied Health Manager, a competitive leadership role. Additionally, she has served on the Western Australian Occupational Therapy Association (WAOTA) committee as newsletter representative from 2014 and Deputy Chairperson from 2021, earning the Recognition of Service award for her outstanding contributions to the profession.
