A true inspiration to all who learn.
Nancy Albert is an Associate Professor of Interior Design within the Architecture and Design faculty at Palm Beach State College, based at the Lake Worth campus. She holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Lynn University, integrating business perspectives into her teaching of interior design. As part of the college's academic faculty, Albert instructs in the Interior Design Technology Associate in Science program, which delivers professional and technical knowledge essential for interior designers. The curriculum addresses client needs, cost-effective solutions, building systems integration, health and safety standards, environmental sustainability, and aesthetic principles in space planning and the design process, positioning graduates for NCIDQ exam eligibility after professional experience.
In 2023, Albert earned a nationally recognized credential in online teaching excellence, co-endorsed by the Association of College and University Educators (ACUE) and the American Council on Education (ACE). This certification stems from completing the ACUE Effective Online Teaching Practices course, emphasizing evidence-based strategies to boost student achievement. These practices encompass designing effective course content and assessments, cultivating productive online learning environments, applying active learning techniques, promoting higher-order thinking skills, and employing assessments to refine instructional approaches. This credential highlights her dedication to high-quality online education. Additionally, Albert has significantly impacted students' careers through mentorship; notably, she guided Palm Beach State College student Maria Rodriguez to victory in the 2023 Kravet Design of Distinction competition, with Rodriguez crediting Albert's and Chair Zenaida Espinosa's guidance. Through such contributions, Albert fosters excellence in the field and supports the next generation of designers.
