Ms Neda Bojnoordi is a Lecturer in the School of Social Work and Social Care, part of the College of Education, Behavioural and Social Sciences at Adelaide University. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Adelaide, a Master of Social Work from Flinders University completed between 2007 and 2009, and a Bachelor of Arts from Griffith University. Her academic career includes prior roles as an Academic Tutor at the University of Adelaide from 2005 to 2007. Before entering academia, she worked as a Youth Worker at SYC Limited from 2000 to 2003. As an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (AMHSW), Ms Bojnoordi possesses extensive professional experience in social work and mental health practice, which informs her teaching and course coordination responsibilities.
In her current position, Ms Bojnoordi serves as course coordinator for several key postgraduate courses in social work. These include Social Work Practicum 1 (SOWK 5004), a fifth-level course requiring 500 hours of Work Integrated Learning placement with enrolment approval from the WIL team, offered at Magill campus and Adelaide City Campus East. She also coordinates Social Work Practicum 2 (SOWK 6005), a sixth-level Work Integrated Learning course involving another 500 hours of advanced field placement. Additionally, she instructs in Communication Skills in Social Work and Human Services (SOWK 1001), aimed at developing essential interpersonal skills, and Social Work Practice Skills (SOWK 5002). Her contributions extend to conference presentations, such as those on the Refugee Support Program in 2006 alongside Robert Habel and a 2025 session on co-creating knowledge through co-operative inquiry with Patricia Muncey, highlighting her engagement in social work research and practice development.
