Ms Phoebe Edgeworth is a Lecturer in the College of Education, Behavioural and Social Sciences at Adelaide University, affiliated with the Australian Centre for Child Protection. She holds the position of Course Coordinator for the short course Assessing Childhood Trauma and provides teaching in both the Assessing Childhood Trauma and Responding to Childhood Trauma short courses offered within the Australian Centre for Child Protection in Justice and Society. Currently, Ms Edgeworth is on maternity leave. She is eligible to co-supervise Masters and PhD students at the university.
Ms Edgeworth has contributed to advancing practices in child protection and trauma response through her publications. In 2025, she co-authored A review of frameworks and guidelines for responding to children and young people who have displayed harmful sexual behaviours with D. Perfect, E. Russell, H. Pearce, S. Hackett, and A. Paton, published by the University of South Australia, Australian Centre for Child Protection. In 2022, she was a co-author on Improving practice together: Victorian group supervision model: final recommendations report and jurisdictional scan with S. Burgess, A. Paton, E. Thain, J. Herbert, and E. Russell, also from the Australian Centre for Child Protection. Additionally, in 2022, she produced Play therapy, a 7-minute video resource. In 2021, together with A. Paton, she authored two clinical practice reviews under the Pursuit of Excellence in Responding to Child Abuse and Neglect: Trauma-focused cognitive behavioural therapy (TF-CBT): clinical practice review and Assessment-based treatment for traumatised children: a trauma assessment pathway (TAP): clinical practice review. Previously, as a Clinical Psychologist with Parkerville Children and Youth Care (Inc.), she served as the primary author of the TAP clinical practice review.
