Dr. Ruby Lewis is a Professor of English at Grambling State University, serving in the Department of English and Foreign Languages. She holds a B.S. and M.Ed. from Southern University, along with a Ph.D. from Kansas State University. For decades, Dr. Lewis has been instrumental in training Grambling State University students in the essentials of proper grammar and composition. Her expertise in grammar and composition is legendary within the department, where fellow faculty members routinely defer to her judgment on these critical areas of English studies. Dr. Lewis's courses are renowned for their toughness, demanding high standards from students, yet this rigorous approach has proven invaluable. Demonstrating extraordinary generosity, Dr. Lewis donated approximately $60,000 from the proceeds of this publication directly to the English Department.
