Dr. Subha Parida is a Lecturer in Property at the School of Accounting and Finance within the College of Business and Law at Adelaide University. She holds a PhD (2015-2021) and a Master's degree (2013-2015), both from Curtin University. Her research examines sustainability in the context of individual, organizational, and stakeholder behaviours that determine the future of work. Her current focus is on the 'S' and 'G' of ESG in the built environment. Research interests encompass environment and culture, housing markets, development and management, property business support services and trade, strategy, management and organisational behaviour, sustainability technologies, circular economy, climate resilient and disaster resilient housing, behaviours and system thinking in green infrastructure, assets, property, and smart cities.
Prior to her current appointment, Dr. Parida contributed significantly at Curtin University and Edith Cowan University, leading research for the CRC for Low Carbon Living, Defence Research and Engagement, and the Centre for Innovative Practices. She holds governance roles including Board Member of the Australian New Zealand Academy of Management (ANZAM) (2025-present), Steering Committee Member of Principle Responsible Management Education (PRME) (2025-present), and Co-Chair of the Sustainability and Social Issue Stream at ANZAM (2024-present). She serves on committees of the Multicultural Communities Council of SA (MCCSA) and the Council of Migrant and Refugee Women (CMRW), and was a PRME lead and member of the sustainability group at UniSA Business, as well as part of the ESG core team for the CRC Copper for Tomorrow bid (2023). Dr. Parida has worked with clients such as the Public Sector Commission, Department of Transport, MainRoads, Defence Science and Technology, Hassell, Brookfield, AECOM, UNSW, and Monash University. Awards include the Early Career Teacher Award (UniSA Business, 2025), Early Career Researcher Award (UniSA Business, 2023), Teaching Commendation (UniSA, 2024), Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy, Chancellor's commendation for exceptional PhD work on employee performance in green buildings, and a merit-based scholarship from the CRC for Low Carbon Living. Key publications are 'Certification for solar panel reuse: a systematic review of cross-sector practices and gaps' (Sustainability, 2025), 'Do STEM women feel ethically and emotionally better prepared for their careers than men?' (Acta Psychologica, 2024), 'Product stewardship for solar photovoltaic panels' (Progress in Energy, 2024), 'In the search for greener buildings: the role of green human resource management' (Business Strategy and the Environment, 2023), 'Green office buildings and sustainability: does green human resource management elicit green behaviors?' (Journal of Cleaner Production, 2021), and 'Investigating systematic review for multi-disciplinary research in the built environment' (Built Environment Project and Asset Management, 2018). She is eligible to supervise Masters and PhD students and currently supervises several doctorates on sustainability and circular economy topics.
