Timothy D. Chandler is the William W. and Catherine M. Rucks University Professor of Management in the Rucks Department of Management at Louisiana State University’s E. J. Ourso College of Business. He holds a PhD in Labor and Industrial Relations from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (1991), an AM in Labor and Industrial Relations from the same institution (1988), and a BA in Political Science from the University of Missouri at Columbia (1985). Chandler’s teaching encompasses labor relations, negotiations, alternative dispute resolution, and regulation of employment practices. His research specializes in private and public sector labor relations and regulation of employment practices, contributing to scholarly understanding of unionization, privatization, and collective bargaining dynamics.
At LSU, Chandler has advanced through prominent academic and administrative roles, including Professor, former Chair of the Rucks Department of Management, and Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs. His distinguished service includes membership on the University Budget Committee and the editorial board of the Employee Rights and Employment Policy Journal.
