Dr. Wanniwat Pansuwong is a Senior Lecturer in the Attainment Model within Academic Quality and Integrity at Adelaide University. He holds a PhD in Business (Entrepreneurship and Innovation) from the Australian Graduate School of Entrepreneurship (AACSB accredited) at Swinburne University of Technology, Australia, and a Master of Arts in International Business and Management from Bradford School of Management (AACSB, EQUIS, AMBA accredited) at the University of Bradford, UK, in collaboration with EM Lyon Business School, France. His research specializations include entrepreneurship, innovation and business models, tourism entrepreneurship, international entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship and strategy for SMEs, and quantitative analyses. Pansuwong has published in ABDC A-ranked and Scimago Q1 journals such as Journal of Asia Business Studies, Tourism Recreation Research, and Social Enterprise Journal. Key publications include "Fear of pandemic and associated challenges of employees' engagement in Asia: the critical role of support in a post pandemic context" (2024, Journal of Asia Business Studies, with Saeed and Chipamaunga), "Exploring residents' support for integrated casino resort development: a new gaming destination in Vietnam" (2023, Tourism Recreation Research, with Nguyen and McClelland), "Social innovation: relationships with social and human capitals, entrepreneurial competencies and growth of social enterprises in a developing country context" (2023, Social Enterprise Journal, with Photchanachan and Thechatakerng), and "An integrated effectiveness framework of mobile in-app advertising" (2019, Australasian Journal of Information Systems, with Truong and Nkhoma). He has contributed chapters to the Handbook of Tourism Entrepreneurship (2024), including on digital technology impacts on tourism business models and advances in entrepreneurial orientation in tourism.
Pansuwong's career trajectory features prior appointments as Lecturer (Entrepreneurship) at University of South Australia, Lecturer (Management, Organisation, Entrepreneurship and Human Resources) at Thammasat Business School (AACSB, EQUIS, AMBA), and Lecturer (Entrepreneurship) leading the Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Digital Transformation Cluster at RMIT University Australia Vietnam Campus. He earned the UniSA Business Staff Teaching Excellence Award in 2024 and 2025. A PhD student he supervised ranked in the top 5% of all theses submitted in an Australian university over the past three years, and he secured AUD 82,000 funding from Thailand's National Innovation Agency for a research project. With substantial expertise, he teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Creativity, Innovation and Design Thinking, and Entrepreneurship in Asia, alongside curriculum development, industry-integrated course design, and academic team leadership. Eligible to supervise Masters and PhD students, he is available for media comment and brings credible professional experience in business incubation, acceleration, venture start-ups, research, and consultancies.
