2026/2027 Adjunct Lecturer- Philosophy

SUMMARY

The Department of Psychology, Philosophy, and Neuroscience at SUNY Brockport is accepting applications for anticipated part-time adjunct faculty positions in the Philosophy program.

JOB FUNCTIONS

Essential Functions:

Teaching (100%)

• Teaches assigned philosophy courses
• Engages in experiential and hands-on education when appropriate
• Produces effective course materials
• Achieves student learning outcomes
• Holds open office hours for students

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master's degree in philosophy or a closely related field by time of appointment from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized college or university, or equivalent professional experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Doctorate in philosophy
• Significant teaching experience

Work Schedule: Variable

Salary and Benefits:
