2026/2027 Adjunct Lecturer- Philosophy
SUMMARY
The Department of Psychology, Philosophy, and Neuroscience at SUNY Brockport is accepting applications for anticipated part-time adjunct faculty positions in the Philosophy program.
JOB FUNCTIONS
Essential Functions:
Teaching (100%)
- Teaches assigned philosophy courses
- Engages in experiential and hands-on education when appropriate
- Produces effective course materials
- Achieves student learning outcomes
- Holds open office hours for students
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in philosophy or a closely related field by time of appointment from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized college or university, or equivalent professional experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Doctorate in philosophy
- Significant teaching experience
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Work Schedule: Variable
Salary and Benefits:
$5,500 stipend per 3 credit course or 3 credit course equivalent. May be benefits eligible. Find out more about benefits at Careers@Brockport.
