SUMMARY
The Department of Environmental Science and Ecology at SUNY Brockport is accepting applications for anticipated part-time adjunct faculty openings.

JOB FUNCTIONS

Essential Functions:
Teaching (100%)

  • Responsible for preparing material and instructing 6 hours of lecture per week in waterfowl ecology and management and wildlife ecology and 4 hours of lab per week in wildlife ecology
  • Responsible for all grading associated with the courses
  • Responsible for holding office hours for a minimum of 4 hours
  • Engages in experiential and hands-on education when appropriate
  • Produces effective course materials
  • Achieves student learning outcomes

REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in biology or a related field by time of appointment from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized college or university, or equivalent experience
  • Expertise in Wildlife and Waterfowl ecology

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in college-level teaching
  • Terminal degree

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Work Schedule: Variable

Salary and Benefits:

$5,500 stipend per 3 credit course or 3 credit course equivalent. May be benefits eligible. Find out more about benefits at Careers@Brockport.
