East Stroudsburg University's Department of Modern Languages, Philosophy & Religion is looking for adjunct instructors to teach courses in philosophy and/or religious studies.

The department offers coursework leading to a minor or a major in Philosophy. The major offers three different concentrations: Leadership in Diverse Communities, Knowledge and Critical Reasoning, and Religion and Global Thought. ESU's Philosophy majors boast an excellent record of hiring and graduate study acceptances.

Located in the beautiful Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, ESU's proximity to New York City and Philadelphia provides students with convenient access to internships, careers and social activities. Just minutes from campus are the country's largest water parks, scenic Delaware Water Gap Recreation Area, Appalachian Trail, and other opportunities for recreational fun.

Qualifications

• A Masters degree in a relevant field is required; a doctorate is preferred.
• Must have significant teaching experience in a higher ed setting with a diverse student population.
