25-26 Researcher (Open Ranks) - Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences - Basic/Translational Research
The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the UC Irvine School of Medicine anticipates openings in the Researcher Series at the Assistant, Associate, and Full Researcher rank. Applications are being sought from recent Ph.D., M.D., or M.D./Ph.D. graduates in the field of Ophthalmology, Biochemistry, Microbiology or equivalent. Interdisciplinary skills and approaches in Immunology, Microbiology, Pathology, and/or Neuroscience are strongly desired. The incumbent will be expected to perform research, provide university and/or public service, demonstrate professional competency and activity. This is an ongoing recruitment. Positions are dependent on extramural funding. Rank and salary will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must possess a Ph.D., M.D., or M.D./Ph.D. degree in the field of Ophthalmology, Biochemistry, Microbiology or equivalent.

Salary Range: A reasonable estimate for this position is $93,400 - $248,400. See Researcher Series - Represented - Fiscal Year - Exempt and Researcher Series - Represented - Fiscal Year - Non Exempt.
