Job Description

Los Medanos College Art Department is seeking an experienced instructor to teach face-to-face or hybrid courses in 3D Digital Art. The role involves teaching topics such as Game Design, Level Design, 3D Animation, 3D Modeling, and VFX under the Graphic Communications discipline.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Providing instruction in established curriculum and course outlines.
• Creating and maintaining a learning environment that encourages critical thinking and free discussion.
• Evaluating student progress, grading work, and meeting with students outside of class.
• Maintaining professional conduct, ethics, and current knowledge in the subject area.
• Fulfilling responsibilities of a part-time faculty member, including accurate record-keeping and other assigned duties.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Any bachelor's degree or higher and two years of professional experience, or any associate degree and six years of professional experience.

Desirable Qualifications

Industry experience with software such as After Effects, Dreamweaver, Adobe XD, Maya, Blender, Unity, or Adobe Suite. Experience teaching college courses, success in mentoring diverse populations, and a portfolio demonstrating expertise.

Salary

Adjunct instructor pay rate is $77.87-$128.97 per hour (up to $151.16).
