Brief Summary of Work for this Position:

The School of Nursing (SON), within the College of Health and Human Services (CHHS) at the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW) invites applications for full-time, 9-month clinical track at the rank of Clinical Instructor, Clinical Assistant Professor or Clinical Associate Professor starting August 2026.

Clinical track faculty may be hired on a contract of up to 5 years that is renewable based on performance. Clinical track faculty are eligible for promotion to higher clinical track ranks. Appointment to rank is dependent on qualifications relative to the university, college, and school standards.

The primary teaching responsibilities will be assigned across the undergraduate and graduate nursing programs. In addition, clinical track faculty have expectations related to advising/mentoring students, scholarship, performing professional and community service and outreach, and contributing to ongoing program evaluation and improvement depending on their rank. Faculty are required to have a presence on campus.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

• A master's degree in nursing OR doctoral degree in nursing OR a doctorate in a related discipline with a baccalaureate OR a graduate degree in nursing at the time of application.
• Applicants for these positions should demonstrate the potential for high-quality teaching.

Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience and clinical expertise in adult health, community, mental health, or pediatrics.
• Experience with AI use in educational and professional settings

Required Certifications or Licensure:

• A current RN license in NC or eligibility for licensure in NC
