Rector of University of Siedlce announces the competition for the position of:
- a university professor in the research and teaching group (male/female);
- discipline: political science and public administration;
- at the Faculty of Social Sciences (Institute of Political Science and Public Administration).

Skills/Qualifications
Candidates applying for the above position should meet the requirements set forth in Article 20(1) points 1-3 and Article 113 points 1 and 2 of the Law of July 20, 2018 - Law of Higher Education and Sciences and:
- hold at least a postdoctoral degree (habilitation) in political science and public administration;
- have a scientific achievements in the field of political science and public administration in particular in the fields of political science, local government or public policy, documented by academic publications in journals and publications in accordance with the Regulation of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of 22.02.2019 on the evaluation of the quality of scientific activity; including at least one publications in an academic journal from the Minister of Science's list worth at least 100 points and simultaneously in the SCOPUS database;
- have at least 3 years’ experience in teaching
- have documented experience in applying for research grants;
- have documented experience in the internationalisation of the university;
- be fluent in Polish and English to the extent that allows them to conduct academic classes.
Specific Requirements
Ad additional advantage of the candidate will be:
- academic achievements and experience in the organisation and delivery of public services
- experience in teaching courses on the history and current state of local government, the history of administration, the activities of non-governmental organisations, local government marketing, and public policies;
- experience of online teaching;
- experience in organising international cooperation
- the ability to work as part of a team;
- availability.

The candidates should submit the following documents:

- Information on his/her scientific, teaching and organizational activities, including a list of achievements and indicating the field/discipline he/she represents.

Additional comments
The competition committee reserves the right to interview in person with the candidates.
The competition is expected to be resolved by October 15, 2026.
Planned employment as of November 2, 2026.
On the basis of 92 paragraph of the Statute of University of Siedlce, the Rector reserves the right to withdraw from the settlement of the competition for important reasons.
Selected candidates will be contacted. The documents sent by the University will not be returned. In case the candidate is not employed, the documents will be destroyed. In order to meet the deadline for submitting applications,, the date of their reception by to the University is decisive.
