Position description
The Critical Gender Studies Program at the University of California, San Diego is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff and student body, and invites applicants whose experience has prepared them to contribute to our commitment.
Responsibilities entail assisting Director and Program Coordinator with program's recruitment and retention efforts; working with Program Coordinator on teaching assignments; circulating program surveys, collecting information, and sharing findings; collecting alumni data; participating in and helping coordinate Unit 18 faculty evaluation committees; and consulting with Unit 18 faculty in the program. This position will support the Unit 18 faculty in the program and participate in their evaluation.
The position is hybrid.

Qualifications
Basic qualifications (required at time of application)
Applicants must have Ph.D. in Critical Gender Studies or a related field.
Additional qualifications (required at time of start)
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Critical Gender Studies or a related field at the time of appointment and experience as a Unit 18 lecturer.
Preferred qualifications
Preferred candidates must demonstrate excellent record in teaching at the undergraduate level. Preferred requirements also include strong demonstrated accomplishments in areas contributing to equity, diversity, and inclusion, and a desire to play a role in advancing UC San Diego's commitment to achieving excellence and diversity.
